For the past 4 years Cyber Sunday (or Taboo Tuesday as it was known in 2004 and 2005) has given fans of the WWE around the world the chance to influence what takes place in the night’s bouts by voting for a selection of changeable stipulations, participants and gimmicks. Cyber Sunday has a few potentially great matches and should be a great feud-building Pay Per View on the road to Armageddon. The Raw bouts at Cyber Sunday are as follows: To Be Decided Tag Team MatchRaw has the tag team market cornered at Cyber Sunday this year, giving the fans 3 possible matches to choose from. Three tag feuds have been bubbling on Raw for a while, probably the most prominent being the luke-warm Cryme Tyme/Miz & Morrison rivalry. Convincing fans to care about this one has been an uphill struggle, but C.T have a large fanbase so it wouldn't be beyond the realms of possibility for this match to be chosen. The second option is a mixed gender match pushing the Noble/Layla/Regal love triangle storyline, with Mickey James thrown in for good measure. This would probably have been the best match of the three but it hasn't been featured enough to get the fans interested. Finally, the most likely match to be voted for is a World Tag Team Championship match. While 'Priceless' are a good faction and have a common bond, the team of Punk and Kingston is a perfect example of the WWE throwing together two big names that don't have a storyline and trying to pass them off as a tag team. The weight of having the titles on the line should be enough to push this match onto the card, not to mention the draw of C.M Punk. Prediction: 'Priceless' to retain the title with help from Manu. Rey Mysterio Vs. Kane - Fans Choose Stipulation The fans can choose from a Falls Count Anywhere, Two out of Three Falls or a No Holds Barred match. Both the Falls Count Anywhere and the No Holds Barred matches favour Kane, so it’s likely that a Two out of Three Falls match will be voted for in force by Mysterio fans. Prediction: Expect it to go to 1-1 and Rey to get the deciding fall against the odds, despite Kane coming off a clean win over the Champion in Raw's Gauntlet match. Santino Marella Vs. To Be Decided for the Intercontinental Championship This one could be a little complicated. Out of Rowdy Roddy Piper, Golddust and The Honky Tonk Man, the obvious choice for most fans would be Honky, given Santino's recent claims that he is planning to break his record IC title streak of 64 weeks. Unfortunately The Honky Tonk Man may not be able to compete as he requires surgery on an injured finger, making the outcome of this one a tough call. Prediction: If The Honky Tonk Man wasn't injured he would be a shoe-in, as things stand it will most likely go down to the wire and is anybodys guess. No matter who is voted in, Santino should retain the title by hook or by crook. Chris Jericho Vs. Batista for the World Heavyweight Championship. Fans choose the Special RefereeThis one is easy to call. While Shawn Michaels has been in a heated rivalry with Chris Jericho for the past couple of months, and Randy Orton has been getting a strong reaction from the crowd since returning from injury, everyone knows that the special referee for this match is going to be Stone Cold Steve Austin. The fans love Stone Cold, it’s a fact. Old fans love to see him because it brings back great memories of the Attitude era, and new fans love to see him because they missed out on his prime. Its a shame that Austin was considered for this match, as him being chosen will have the least impact on the situation and will simply serve as a cheap pop for the crowd and ratings boost for the Pay Per View, whereas HBK or Orton could really have developed a storyline had they been the guest referee. Prediction: It’s likely that HBK and/or Orton will make an appearance in the match regardless of if they are voted in or not, but it is surely going to be Austin in the striped shirt and Jericho somehow retaining the title.
