Bragging Rights by name and Bragging Rights by nature as Smackdown squares up against Raw in three bouts, including an epic 7 on 7 Main Event Match.

On the 25th October at the Mellon Arena in Pittsburgh PA both the WWE and World Heavyweight Championships will be on the line, but the real battles for Bragging Rights will take place in the three cross-promotional matches including a battle between Intercontinental Champion John Morrison and U.S Champion The Miz.

Raw Divas Team Vs. Smackdown Divas Team

The first of three Smackdown Vs. Raw matches pits Divas Champion Melina, Kelly Kelly and Gail Kim of the Red Brand against Womens Champion Michelle McCool, Beth Phoenix and Natalya of the Blue Brand.

On paper at least, Team Smackdown seem to be more experienced and arguably better skilled, however tensions have been rising between Michelle McCool and Beth Phoenix, who both have a vested interest in the Womens Championship.

The Diva's of Team Raw are all friends and will undoubtedly all be on the same page, which could be the difference maker when they meet Team Smackdown at Bragging Rights

Prediction: Team Raw to pick up the victory due to some miscommunication between Michelle McCool and Beth Phoenix.

United States Champion The Miz Vs. Intercontinental Champion John Morrison

At one time The Miz & John Morrison were THE tag team in the WWE. Despite being on the ECW brand there didn't seem to be a week that went by where they didn't appear on either Raw, Smackdown or both with the Tag Titles, earning themselves two Slammy Awards in the process.

However when they were moved onto separate brands during the 2009 Roster Draft, The Miz quickly turned on his partner and set about making a name for himself as a singles competitor.

This unfinished business has remained unfinished for almost seven months, until Bragging Rights gave them a reason to come together and fight Champion Vs. Champion to find out once and for all which one of them is the Shawn Michaels and which one is the Marty Jannetty.

Prediction: John Morrison to pick up the win in a very competitive match, levelling the score at Smackdown 1 - 1 Raw.

7 on 7 Bragging Rights Main Event

Team Raw

  • Triple H
  • Shawn Michaels
  • The Big Show
  • Mark Henry
  • Kofi Kingston
  • Jack Swagger
  • Cody Rhodes

Team Smackdown

  • Chris Jericho
  • Kane
  • JTG
  • Shad Gaspard
  • Drew McIntyre
  • Dolph Ziggler
  • Eric Escobar

This is what Bragging Rights is all about. 14 of WWE's finest meet in a 7 on 7 cross-branded 'slobberknocker'.

It's nice to see that there is a genuine mixture of main event and up and coming talent in these teams, because it would have been so easy for the writers to take the high road and throw the likes of Orton, Cena, Batista and Rey Mysterio in there, but they haven't.

Competitors such as Cody Rhodes, Drew McIntyre, Eric Escobar and Dolph Ziggler will all be looking to make a name for themselves, and what better way than to grab victory for their respective brand.

Team Raw look to have the slightly stronger line up, but Team Smackdown shouldn't be underestimated and should John Cena lose the WWE Championship match, he might well use this match as a way to ingratiate himself with the blue locker room.

Prediction: Smackdown to clinch victory in an underhanded way. Either a Big Show turn or a John Cena run in.
