WWE The Bash 09 Raw and ECW PredictionsPreview of Raw/ECW Matches Scheduled for 28/06/09 and Live Results
The Three Stages of Hell Match returns after a 6 year hiatus, ECW holds a Championship Scramble and Cena finally gets his hands on The Miz when The Bash hits Sacramento.
Two world championships will be defended under fairly unique circumstances and The Miz will get the chance to prove his worth against John Cena as WWE's Bash touches down at the ARCO Arena on the 28th June. The Miz Vs. John CenaSince The Miz was drafted to Raw, turning on his former partner John Morrison in the process, the former reality T.V. star has set his sights firmly on the top tier of action. Choosing Cena as his target, knowing full well the former he was far too busy with The Big Show, The Miz set about calling out the battered and beaten former WWE Champion. Nothing has been off limits in terms of ammo either, with The Miz turning every aspect of Cena's career against him in an attempt to goad him into a match. Cena, business concluded with The Big Show, finally accepted the challenge and said he would make The Miz famous at The Bash in a headlining match. Prediction: The Miz to pull off an upset victory, leaving the feud wide open. Carlito & Primo Vs. Priceless for the Unified Tag Team ChampionshipsCarlito & Primo won the unified titles at WrestleMania in a dark match and ever since have faded into obscurity, wrestling at the bottom of whatever show they are booked on. There has been little effort put into promoting this match, with the champions facing a range of different tag teams while occasionally having run ins with Priceless. Despite the lack of hype this should be a good bout and by the end of the night Legacy could end up holding a lot of gold. Prediction: Priceless to grab the win. ECW Championship Scramble MatchTommy Dreamer defends his ECW Championship for the second time since winning it in a match where statistically he only has a 20% chance of retaining the gold. The Championship Scramble match was born at Unforgiven last September and gave the WWE Universe 3 thrilling matches, the ECW bout seeing Matt Hardy claim the gold. This time Christian, Finlay, Mark Henry and Jack Swagger will all be gunning for Dreamer's title belt in a match where anything can and probably will happen. Two competitors start the match with a new Superstar being introduced at 5 minute intervals. The person to gain the last pinfall/submission come the end of 20 minutes will be declared the ECW Champion. Prediction: It would be harsh for Dreamer to drop it less than a month after winning, but the odds are against him. Jack Swagger might surprise a few people and leave with the gold. Triple H Vs. Randy Orton (c) in a 3 Stages of Hell Match for the WWE ChampionshipOrton has made a point of involving himself both in Triple H's business and private life at every opportunity since winning the Rumble in January, even going as far as putting him and his family on the shelf for a number of months with the brutal 'Punt'. Triple H returned to the WWE with a vengeance a few weeks ago, making a bee-line for both Orton and the WWE Championship. The title had been vacated after a combined effort by Legacy put Batista out of action with a broken arm less than 24 hours after The Animal had won the WWE Championship at Extreme Rules. Then just 6 days before The Bash and after Orton had just retained the title in a gruelling Last Man Standing match against Triple H which ended in a draw, Mr. McMahon informed him he would again face The Game in a 3 Stages of Hell match. The two will battle it out in a Standard Match, then a Falls Count Anywhere bout and finally a Stretcher Match should it be required. Prediction: Triple H has won both of the previous Three Stages of Hell matches, but Legacy are sure to get involved and the stipulations of bout 2 and 3 seem to favour Orton in that respect. Orton to retain. For more information on WWE The Bash including Live ResultsClick Here or For Smackdown Match PredictionsClick Here
